FAQ
1. What happens if I don't like the taste of my cheesecake, candy apples, cookies, cake or cupcakes?
I apologize if you happen to not like the taste and would hope that you would give us another try to meet your expectations. With that being said, taste is subjective and we don't take back cakes or give refunds just because you don't like the taste.
2. Your cheesecakes are more expensive than your local competitors...what gives?
There is a lot of time and love that goes into our cheesecakes. Our cheesecakes have a delicious cake for the their base. The extra time and care to make these crusts are reflected into the price. Also, most places do not offer the flavor combinations that we provide.
3. What is the best way to cut your cheesecake?
With a long knife, cut into the cheesecake. BEFORE you make the second cut, dip the knife in warm water and clean with a paper towel. Then make your next cut. Clean your knife after each cut.
4. How long can you refrigerate your cheesecake?
Your cheesecake will remain fresh in your refrigerator for 7-10 days. You should wrap your cheesecake then place it in the refrigerator and keep it away from strong odors. However we doubt that your cheesecake will last that long, they are too delicious!
5. How long can you freeze cheesecake?
You can safely freeze your cheesecake for up to six months. If you are planning to freeze your cheesecake wrap your cheesecake tightly with plastic wrap and freeze immediately upon arriving to your desired location.
6. Do you charge extra for fondant decorations for cupcakes or candy apples?
Yes; depending on what you like there is a 10-20 dollar charge. If you would like fondant decorations, you need to place your order 3 WEEKS in advance, for these take time to make. Thank you.
7. Can I pay with a credit card?
Yes; that is the preferred method. You will be sent an invoice through PayPal, there is a $2.00 invoice fee. Please note, that your invoice must be paid within 48 hours of receiving otherwise your order will be cancelled. There will be a $25.00 fee to re send an invoice.
8. Do you take cash?
No. As of January 2015 cash is no longer accepted.
9. My invoice was cancelled, can you resend the invoice?
Yes, keep in mind there is a $25 fee to resend an invoice.
10. Do you give refunds?
All sales are final. However if there is a baking error, a cake gets damaged in route to delivery, or you return your cake there will be a partial refund granted.
11. What happens if I want to cancel my order?
There is a $45 dollar cancellation fee on orders cancelled a week before the date that you secured. All orders $199 or under need to be PAID in full with a one time payment before production begins. I ask that you place orders 2 weeks in advance. An invoice will be sent to you through PayPal that will include an invoice fee.
12. Do you require a deposit?
Orders that are that are $200 and over need to be secured by a retainer fee of half the product cost plus a PayPal fee. Retainer fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Retainer fees are due the day you place your order. Your order is not secured until your retainer fee is paid.
13. Do you take last minute or rush orders?
Yes, if I have availability. Any order that is not placed 2 weeks in advance will incur a $40.00 rush order fee and any specialty product(s) that have to be ordered to produce your order will be billed to the responsible party. Rush orders need to be paid in full the day the order is placed, no exceptions.
14. Do you charge a delivery fee?
Yes, if you live in the Orlando area there is a $20 fee. Deliveries 35 miles or over will incur a $.65 per mile fee. Meeting you half way is still considered a
delivery and will still incur a $20.00 delivery fee.
15. What happens if I fail to pick up an order?
If you order product and fail to pick up your order, (not due to a life or family emergency), you will NEVER be able to place an order from Sweet Scapes Catering again.
16. Do you ship your Sugar Rush Jars?
Yes. All orders are baked and shipped within 5 business days. Standard shipping is based on the amount of items ordered and current USPS rates. For larger orders, additional shipping rates may apply, you will be contacted if this applies to your order. Please note, that invoices will be sent through PayPal.
17. Where are you located?
We are a home baking service that proudly serves Orlando, FL and some surrounding areas.
